David Diebold & Associates is a China consultancy company with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Washington DC and London.
David Diebold, its Founder, had been responsible, as a US government official, for the implementation of the framework agreement to develop the trade and investment relationship between the United States and the People’s Republic, over 20 years ago.
The firm has a full-time staff of Western and Chinese professionals, and an extensive base of associates built up over the intervening years.
Its research reports on China have been used by Dow Jones & Company, KPMG, the United States Embassy in China, Royal Bank of Scotland, 3i, the Group of 48 Club, Standard Chartered Bank, US Department of Commerce, Automotive Distribution Federation, U.S. Equipment Leasing Association, and a large number of Fortune 500 companies and SMEs.
In recent years, the American Chamber of Commerce has retained the firm as its Senior Advisor on its relationship with the Chinese government, on behalf of the American business community in China.
