Management of international purchasing programs (ABS & ESP): $50 million annual purchase value
Responsible to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets for all programs’ purchased components through:
-Management of a sourcing team of 5 commodity buyers and 3 advanced quality engineers located in both China and in the US
-Sourcing of all new components per program (cold headed parts, motors, electronic controllers, solenoids, stampings, machined parts, plastic & rubber parts, bearings etc) mostly in China
-Determination of a Global Supply Strategy and participation in Make or Buy analyses
-Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) execution at suppliers from sourcing to start of mass production
