Generally speaking, my professional responsibilities were focused on selecting and following two kinds of suppliers, namely, service suppliers and product suppliers (manufacturers). Regarding service providers, my work was to define precisely delivery times, means of transportation, logistic solutions and so on.
My work with product suppliers focused more on specific products, such as aluminium extrusion, die-casting, shell-casting, plastic injection, etc.
Working with both kinds of suppliers, I needed to prepare and deliver them our requirements through technical specifications.
Of course, my work often involved market analysis, process definition and adaptation, negotiation, legal and financial issues.
