I am living in Shanghai since 03/2010.
After a 10 months training in Alcatel, I was hired by a Chinese company, East Printing Plate. I stayed in this company for almost a year.
I am now working as the commercial manager of a French trading company based in China.
Working in China represents a fantastic challenge: it is hard and exhausting but it is worth to live there. Their culture, their history, their way of thinking, of living... All these worth to be known because it is so different from the European style, it can only help to open our mind.
2011 - 2011Responsible for developing sales on the French and Belgium market by:
o Organizing the first strategies to enter a new market
o studying the European policies and importation rules
o Acquisition of strong knowledge related to the printing industry and techniques
o Organization of all aspects of the sales: negotiation with printers, logistic
o Management, contracts management, building up networks
From March 2011:
Team supervisor, responsible for managing an international team of 5 people by:
o Organizing daily and weekly meeting,
o Supervise all responsibilities and contacts with customers
o Taking the Director’s responsibilities when he needs
- Commercial responsibilities:
o Facing role with customers
o Customer services : invoices, after sales services, , special offer/propositions
- Sales responsibilities:
o Coordinate all operational function to support sales
Ensure new orders coordination : optimization of quantity , price, special offer, delivery time, Proforma invoice drafting
Ensure sourcing team and management coordination: clear information communication, coordination of transport aspects - planning, importation/exportation management, and payment planning.
Follow up sales activity: report sales statistics and financial key indicators.
- Business development:
o New markets / products/ customers studies:
Gathering of competitors and customers information
Advising sales policies
Ensure strategic analysis: opportunities, balance of win/ loose situations
o Create bid offers, sales presentation.
