James Huey
Managing Director, China Westbridge Advisory Services
James divides his time between China (mainly Beijing) 80% of the time, and Australia (Sydney), 20%.
He has an outstanding record of commercial and international experience, dominantly in the financial services industry. For over 30 years he carried out a variety of functional roles in Australia and offshore, for the Westpac Banking Corporation group, including General Management, Strategic Planning, Human Resources, Finance, and Information Technology. His ultimate role at Westpac was as General Manager for New South Wales, leading a business with over 10,000 employees.
James holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours, from the University of Manchester, U.K., majoring in Financial Services.
His experience covers a wide variety of functional areas, including strategic level general management, human resources management, finance/accounting, the management of technology and systems development, delivery of financial services, credit and lending. Consulting experience over the past 17 years has been at the strategic Board/CEO level in several enterprises operating in a wide range of industries. His mix of high level executive experience, comprehensive skills, and an incisive approach, provide an ability to add value across a broad range of industries.
He has been active commercially in China for ten years. He is very comfortable with the nuances of the Chinese business environment, and is culturally sensitive, building rapport easily with Chinese clients and counter-parties.
Professionally, he is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (U.K.). In other technical streams, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants, a Chartered Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute, and an Associate of the Institute of Management Consultants. He is currently a Trustee of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA).
James is a Member of the Australia China Business Council, the Australia Vietnam Business Council, the Australia Fiji Business Council, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia. He is a Director of Resimac Limited, Chinasourcing Co Ltd, Sabina Corporation Ltd, OzzyConnect Limited, and Paymate Pty Ltd. He has a comprehensive network of cooperative relationships with other advisers, consultants, and service providers, in Australia, China, and the South West Pacific.

• Market entry support services for businesses seeking to establish a presence in China, This can include market research, all formalities of corporate establishment in China, the establishment of local offices or representation, and introductions to competent providers of professional services in China e.g. legal services, and accounting services.
• Introduction to providers of business process front office and back office “outsourced services” in China. Examples could be I.T. development and support; call centres; data entry, accounting/book-keeping functions, or printing services. CCAS could also provide project management services and manage the relationship at the Chinese end, if required.
