I used my experience in China to conduct short missions as freelance consultant for small size companies.
*July - Sept 2007 : undisclosed company (Europe), specialized in media monitoring and surveys.
MISSION: Execution of a pre-implantation survey for the outsourcing of a production center dedicated to digitalize print press in China. It includes initial budget definition, set up formalities, resources required evaluation (investments and HR), production processes analysis.
* May 2007 : Hotline Ltd. (Shanghai, China), specialized in trading security equipments (USD 6 millions turnover, 10 employees).
MISSION : improve sales team management efficiency ; improve clients and prospects relationship follow up ; trade finance advices related to export for Hotline and to import for their clients
2005 - 2006A UK financial institution of trade finance specialized in emerging markets. It supplies a large range of import and export finance solutions. (USD 500 millions financed in 2006, 30 people worldwide).
* Operational and administrative set up of Shanghai and Beijing offices;
* Benchmark: analysis of Chinese trade and finance environment;
* Assist planning and execution of market entry with local team and top management;
* Business support to sales team in commercial process (from prospective to negotiation stage);
* Report to management on operational, administrative and accounting matters.
ACHIEVEMENTS: Analyze the gap between turnover, targeted and realized ; conduct a survey Singapore versus China to assess which place has the best potential to setup FTC Asia-Pacific hub.
2003 - 2005A French media monitoring&survey company specialized in multimedia information collection and distribution as well as strategic analysis to evaluate Public Relation efficiency.(EURO 15 million turnover, 350 employees in 6 offices worldwide)
* Asian branch set up(office in Shanghai and subsidiary in Hong-Kong);
* Budget, forecast, reporting: annual budget and quarterly reconciliations, working capital management, pre-launching cost study of new activity and project schedule, production schedule;
* HR organization set up: recruitment, training, appraisal, incentive definition;
* Initiate implementation of production center (print press codification and analysis, web monitoring);
* Project manager in the outsourcing in China of part of the French digitalizing department (9 people);
* Manage international clients account in China, Hong-Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan ( offer presentation, studies presentation , customized analysis initiation, relationship management);
* Enhance Asian offer, business volume and profitability of all activities.
ACHIEVEMENTS : Staff increase from 4 to 30 people in 2 years ; succeeded in producing French article’s clips from China; 25% turnover increase in 2 years (reaching EUR 370,ooo), break even reach in 2005.
