Network Technical Assistance Engineer, Tianjin Jinbin Veolia Water Co., Ltd.
In Tianjin Jinbin Veolia Water Joint Venture, I am in charge of the supervision of the Technical Support to the Operation and Technical Departments to implement good practices and management tools in Drinking Network Operation.
This includes several projects about the management of the drinking water network, such as NRW mangement system, GIS, hydraulic model, metering and Asset management.
More than only technical, these projects involve human management, cultural management and financial aspects.
Hydraulic Engineer in the Technical Assistance Team in Tianjin Jinbin Veolia Water Joint Venture, I am in charge of the supervision of the implementation of modern and efficient tools for the management of hydraulic network.
Globally, it includes :
- Implement high standard of Drinking Water Network Operation Reporting.
- Supervise the implementation of Network integrated Management System and improvement action plans including : Hydraulic Models, GIS, Network Zoning, Non Revenue Water (NRW) Management and Network Asset Management. Some of these tasks will be undertaken by my team under my supervision.
- Implement a Non Revenue Water Management System:
+ Train Joint Venture Company Technical staff about the NRW concept.
+ Quantify each category of NRW.
+ Draw up NRW mid-term reduction plan (3 to 5 years)
This is a key point of modern water distribution management, to reduce the loss and thus improve the efficiency of the water network.
- Implement customer metering improvement plan including Key Account, Big, medium and small meters.
- Provide support to the operation and technical department on specific tasks upon request.
2006 - 2010Hydraulic Network engineer in the joint-venture Lanzhou Veolia Water Group Co., Ltd, I am in charge of several projects concerning the distribution network operations:
- Water demand : technical follow-up of the study. Linked with Atkins consultants , the study will be used for master plan, financial model and hydraulic model.
- GIS (Geographic Information System) : Implementation. Including technical assessment of present situation, suppliers assessment, commercial management, creation of a six persons team and its supervision, data collection, services interactions management, archives management, on site activities follow up.
- Hydraulic model : Implementation. Deeply linked with GIS project, it also include geographic and dynamic studies, on-field measurement linked with flowmeters installations and other remote devices.
- Flowmeters : management of a technical study and implementation of new drinking water flowmeters, according to the new regulation of OMOH (One Meter One Household) and for the optimization of network distribution for drinking water.
2006 - 2006For my last school internship, I have been for 7 months in charge of three water districts in Rennes surroundings (35, France).
My main activities were:
- data collection
- hydraulic model implementation
- on site measurement
- planning of the water demand over 20 years
- planning of the work plan for 20 years
- negotiation of the financial plan with local collectivities
2005 - 2005Since the preparation of Romania entrance in European Union was in a rush in 2005, I worked for the first national project of smokes treatment in an electrical plant. This plant burns coal so as to produce energy, thus lots of Sox were produced.
The main objective was to evaluate the dimensions the desulfurization process and the treatment factory. I was the privileged contact of Black & Veatch consultants from USA.
