Dan Serfaty
Founder and CEO, Viadeo
After an MBA (HEC - Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) in 1987, I spent my first 2 working years as a Marketing Product Manager for Danone in Italy. At 23 years old, I started my entrepreneur life with the turn around of a company in the tourism sector (DIMO) that I successfully revamped and sold to a German group 2 years later.
Simultaneously, I co-founded an import-export company, GEN, specialized in the distribution (in France, Spain, Italy and Germany) of imported garments from Asia. Financed by Private Equity investors, GEN accelerated its organic growth through acquisitions and became a leading garments supplier of the main European retailers in less than 10 years.
After selling the Company in 2000, I then launched Agregator, a new financial concept that builds a bridge between Private Equity and Entrepreneurship through a Club whose members are offered a dedicated exchange fund for their shares - which allow them to increase their personal liquidity and ensure patrimonial diversification.
It is in the context of this Club that Viadeo was launched in France with Thierry Lunati in September 2004, and quickly became one of the leading worldwide professional social network.
Born in 1966 in Strasbourg (France) - Married 3 children - Trilingual (French - English - Italian)
