Alain Ruinet
Director, Programs and Customer Care, Asia-Pacific, EADS Secure Networks
Based in Beijing (China), Alain, 40, is currently director, programs and customer care Asia Pacific with EADS Secure networks. He is in charge of project management, operations, customer care and other professional services related to the deployment and integration of wireless secure communication networks (TETRA – TETRAPOL) in Asia. One of his main challenges this year is the execution of the special contracts awarded to EADS for 2008 Olympic Games security in China.
Alain has been working with EADS and its predecessors since the beginning of his career, mainly in system integration and program management, with 5 years in Asia, so far.
His first position in EADS was in MBDA, formerly known as Matra Defense, as project manager for counter-measure systems embedded in Mirage 2000 and Rafale. He then joined the joint venture Eurodrone to work in a French-German project as test manager (ground and flight trials of an Unmanned Air Vehicle).
In 1999 he had the opportunity to experience another business unit of EADS and joined Matra Nortel Telecommunications, now known as EADS Secure Networks. At that time his Asian experience started with a position in Singapore as head of the local subsidiary and project director of the wireless network for police and civil defense. Back in France, he was appointed head of a department in charge of system integration, validation, customer support and ILS worldwide.
Alain graduated from Ecole Centrale Paris (91) and Sciences Po Paris (92). Beside his passion for engineering, he is fond of diving, biking, photography, natural and human sciences.

- in charge of technical and project proposal for Olympic Games security,
- pioneered security business in China.
2001 - 2005(based in Paris area)
- introducing new PMR solutions in the Public Safety customers through field tests and customized acceptance,
- managing solutions in support stage and bringing Integrated Logistic Support
- supporting Spain, Czech Republic, Mexico, US, Singapore, France networks in deployment and operations.
2000 - 2001(based in Singapore)
- implement PMR projects (wireless Public Safety networks),
- supervise all the on-site activity, local partnerships and customer contact,
- support the Asia Sales Director and manage the local company
